Tip #3

Each character should not be omniscient - have an understanding of the entire picture. They should only have a small part which they must piece together = the audience gets to piece it together along with them. This is what makes them vulnerable and believable characters. If they know exactly what's going on then there's nothing to solve = no movie to watch. Think of Neo in the Matrix - what if he knew he was the one? What story would we have to watch then?
